The Penguins of Madagascar: New To The Zoo (Review)

Who doesn't love the all-mighty and tough-talking penguins of the Madagascar series? Seems like penguins are everywhere now; in other movies such as Surf's Up (2007) and Happy Feet (2006). I received the DVD, "THE PENGUINS OF MADAGASCAR: New to the Zoo," and had the opportunity to provide you with this review. I was hoping to receive the other DVD as well: "THE PENGUINS OF MADAGASCAR: Happy Julien Day" to review too, but I can always find that one at the stores.

Little Brandon and I only watched the first couple episodes, but didn't finish the DVD. He kinda lost interest a little and fell asleep. He is only 2 years old (22-months to be exact) and doesn't know much yet, so I had to explain to him what was going on. I thought the stories were pretty funny and cute. There's a bit of action here and there with those little penguins. Brandon can always watch the movie again and understand it when he's a bit older.

About the Episodes
1) In The Line Of Doody: The penguins have to protect the City Zoo Commissioner from Frankie the pigeon's wrath.

2) The Big Squeeze: When the little mammals in the zoo start to disappear, the penguins suspect the new boa constrictor, Salvio.

3) Out Of The Groove: Julien is horrified when the baboons' dance routine gets more attention than his own.

4) Skorca: On watch-duty, Private sees a terrifying Skorca, a sky orca whale.

5) The Red Squirrel: Skipper's idol, Rockgut, accuses all of the zoo animals of being his nemesis, the Red Squirrel.

6) Jiggles: Kowalski accidentally creates a living blob of jelly named Jiggles.

7) Untouchable: A tiny frog with a nasty attitude moves into the zoo and starts terrorizing the animals.

8) Cat's Cradle: Max the cat is on the run from evil animal control Officer X and comes to the Penguins for help.
