Dave Ramsey's Kids Books Boxed Set Review & Giveaway (CLOSED)

Brandon's Adventures
Holiday Gift Guide presents...
Dave Ramsey's Kids Books Boxed Set

Your children can join Junior in his life adventures! Transform their futures with these colorful and entertaining books by teaching them how to handle money NOW.

From working and saving to giving and spending, these wonderful stories will teach real life ‘stuff,’ and the stories are so fun your children won’t even know they’re learning!

Each book is illustrated by award-winning cartoonist Marshall Ramsey. Recommended for kids ages 3-10.

This is great and it is a very smart idea for teaching kids and older children about saving money and spending money wisely.  Dave Ramsey's stories are simple to understand and Marshall Ramsey's cartoon illustrations were fantastic. For more about Dave Ramsey, visit his website at http://www.daveramsey.com.

At first, Brandon quickly lost interest with the stories in the book when I read him word-by-word. When I tried a different method by telling him in my own words and pointing at the pictures at the same time, he paid more attention. He's more of a visual person. When he's older, he'll be able to read the stories back to me. Brandon loves books and he'll repeat what I say sometimes.

Little Brandon is still young, but he's already have an idea of how money works because he has seen when we go shopping. We have our own system that when Brandon does something good or listens, he earns a quarter and we keep it in his "special piggy bank". With that money he "saved", we let him use it for the car rides at the malls.

There are 6 books in the Junior collection book set:

The Super Red Racer (Work)

Junior learns that work is a great place to go when he wants to purchase that incredible, super-cool bike that is not in the budget.  This story teaches children the value of work and the rewards of owning your stuff instead of your stuff owning you.

 Careless at the Carnival (Spending)

Junior learns how easy it is to spend too much money on things you don't really need or want. This story teaches children the benefits of planning their spending and sticking to the plan no matter what.

The Big Birthday Surprise (Giving)

Junior learns that giving some of what you have to those in need makes a person less selfish.  This story teaches children the value of giving to others as well as the great feeling that comes with sharing what you have.

My Fantastic Fieldtrip (Saving)

Junior learns that you can do three things with money: give, save, and spend. This story teaches children the value of allotting money to each of these activities and why they should do so. It will also introduce them to the idea of creating an "envelope system" to help them control their money.

A Special Thank You (Integrity)

Junior learns the importance of doing what's right even when no one is looking. This story teaches the importance of integrity and the unexpected thanks that it brings.

Battle of the Chores (Debt)

Junior learns that when borrowing money to get what you want now instead of waiting and saving, there are unexpected consequences. This story teaches children the dangers of debt and how it can affect not only the borrower but the relationship they have with the lender.

I would win this boxed set for my two kids. I tried to purchase it tonight, but Dave Ramsey won't ship to Canada and I can't find the box set anywhere else on the web to purchase.
