Sneak Peek of Disney's "Maleficent" Features New Lana Del Rey Song
A never-before-heard Lana Del Rey rendition of “Once Upon a Dream” was unveiled as part of a 90-second sneak peek of Disney’s “Maleficent” during the 56th Annual Grammy Awards® on Sunday, January 26. “Maleficent” releases in theatres on May 30, 2014.
Award-winning, American singer-songwriter Lana Del Rey has recorded a unique reimagining of the renowned fairy-tale tune from Disney’s classic animated film “Sleeping Beauty,” which will feature in the end credits of the upcoming Disney film.
“Maleficent” explores the untold story of Disney’s most iconic villain from the classic “Sleeping Beauty" and the elements of her betrayal that ultimately turn her pure heart to stone. Driven by revenge and a fierce desire to protect the moors over which she presides, Maleficent cruelly places an irrevocable curse upon the human king’s newborn infant Aurora. As the child grows, Aurora is caught in the middle of the seething conflict between the forest kingdom she has grown to love and the human kingdom that holds her legacy. Maleficent realizes that Aurora may hold the key to peace in the land and is forced to take drastic actions that will change both worlds forever.
The film stars Angelina Jolie as Maleficent, Sharlto Copley, Elle Fanning, Sam Riley, Imelda Staunton, Juno Temple and Lesley Manville.
“Maleficent” is produced by Joe Roth and directed by Robert Stromberg, with Angelina Jolie, Don Hahn, Palak Patel, Matt Smith and Sarah Bradshaw serving as executive producers. Linda Woolverton wrote the screenplay. “Maleficent” opens in theatres on May 30, 2014.

Creative Kids Bento Lunchbox Idea: Minions on the Run
I made a Minion (Despicable Me) themed lunch for little Brandon. The Minions are made from scrambled eggs over a bed of rice. The eyes are made with egg whites (the leftover from the eggshells that I saved) and seaweed. On the side are some celery sticks with cream cheese and raisins. We call that "ants on a log". And then there's banana chips and Triscuit crackers.

A Visit to the Children's Hospital
It was the day of the Brandon's appointment to see the dermatologist at BC Children's Hospital. He's been dealing with severe eczema on his hands and legs for a few months now so the dermatologist prescribed a new med as well as refills on the ones we had. Meds prescribed were Elocom Ointment, 2.5HC with Creamy Vaseline, Fucidin Ointment, Betamethosone Valerate, and Cyclocort (for scalp). Brandon mainly uses the 2.5% HC cream (daily). The ointment, although greasier, works better (but also more expensive). That I use every other day if needed. I just hope his skin condition improves soon.
I almost forgot to mention that our dermatologist also gave us these notes:
- bathe daily in the tub
- DO NOT use bubble bath, shampoo in water, and any scented baby skin care products
- use unscented soap or body wash such as 'Dove for Sensitive Skin' or Cetaphil
- pat dry
Eczema Bleach Bath Care:
Use an household bleach (Clorox, Javex, etc.)
- add to bath 2-3 times per week: 1/4 cup household bleach to water
- for hands and feet only: 1 tsp household bleach for every 2L of water

LovableLabels New Designs on "Date It!" Labels
I am now part of the Lovable Labels LOVE BUG Program and I am so excited to share with you exclusive discounts you won't want to miss.
Ever wonder what's in those food containers in your freezer or when you put them there? With the new "Date It!" Labels, you'll never have to guess! The bright and colorful "Date It!" Labels are made to be written on over and over and are completely safe to use in the fridge/freezer, microwave or dishwasher. Great for labelling home-made baby foods, Tupperware, baby bottles, food containers, etc.
This is great because I always freeze my food and recently been making my own jam. The "Date It!" Labels help remind me when I made it and distinguish what kind of jam is in each jar (as they all look pretty similar).
Features & Benefits:
* reusable
* durable
* microwave safe
* dishwasher safe
* freezer safe
* keep organized
Also, I've been using name labels from LovableLabels for many years now and I love them! They are perfect for little Brandon's stuff at school. His teacher often remind her students to ask parents to label their belongings such as water bottles, lunchboxes, hats, shoes, etc. I had used the clothing dots stickers on Brandon's outerwear and even after many washes (and gets crumpled), it really sticks on!
