Recipe Book: Stealth Health Lunches Kids Love {Review & Giveaway}

Irresistible and Nutritious Gluten-Free Sandwiches, Wraps and Other Easy Eats

Wouldn’t it be nice to say goodbye to dull bread and same old wraps? How about temper tantrums from picky young eaters who’d rather go hungry than eat the healthy options parents try and sneak into their lunches? To the age-old battle between  parents and children best-selling author and chef Tracy Griffith says: “Stealth Health to the Rescue!”

Her new book STEALTH HEALTH LUNCHES KIDS LOVE by [Page Street Publishing, July 2013, $19.99 US/$21.99 CAN] is packed with nutrient rich recipes designed to give kids a happy, healthy, and energized day. The book is full of tips, tricks and innovative recipes for unique gluten-free sandwich wraps. Best of all, each recipe provides instructions for making them in different shapes and easy to eat sizes that hide healthy ingredients and are appealing to kids. Kids will have a blast in the kitchen helping their parents make their own stealth health creations and will never guess the nutrient powerhouse each meal holds for them! Recipes include:

• Chicken Hot Dogs
• Green Eggs and Ham
• Pizza Sandwich with Tomato and Mozzarella
• Peanut Butter, Strawberries and Cream
• Chicken Salad with Grapes

From tacos and tortillas to rice buns and wraps, each chapter offers exciting and healthy recipes that have been tested on real kids from the prestigious Hong Kong International School, to pre-teen East Coasters to grade schoolers in Los Angeles.

Swap out the traditional bland, carb-loaded lunches that leave kids bloated and sluggish. With STEALTH HEALTH LUNCHES KIDS LOVE parents can finally give their family’s lunches an innovative and tasty makeover and introduce a diverse culinary
experience that will make this book a family favorite.

I received a complimentary electronic copy for my review. It is quite a wonderful book with colorful and mouth-watering photos. I'm very impressed with the layout and easy to make recipes (and healthy too). They are fun to make and even my son loves to eat sushi. We make it at home occasionally. Each recipe is packed with nutrients to give kids a happy, healthy, energized day, wrapped in fun shapes and are easy to eat.

WHERE TO BUY? The book will be available July 30, 2013 at local book retailers, Barnes & Noble and Amazon.com.

I have tried everything! My most creative is having lots of different colors on a plate & things to dip veggies in (different sauces, containers, etc.)
