Chalk Preschool Online {Review}

A few of you might have heard about CHALK Preschool.  CHALK offers a quality preschool curriculum based on their proven program that has been successfully preparing kids for kindergarten since 2005. They have 5 award-winning schools in Chicago and Los Angeles.  With CHALK Preschool Online, it is an online resource that provides learning for children in preschool level. Now your child can get the best of CHALK’s preschool program for free and it is available for access online at anywhere and any time.

This is actually the first time I've heard about CHALK Preschool. When I was recently introduced to the program, I was amazed to find out that the education is free to access online. Sign up was fast and the website was quite easy to navigate.

When I showed this to Little Brandon, he was excited about trying and learning new things. The characters in the video lessons showed much enthusiasm. I could see the smiles and laughs from Little Brandon during each activity. He would dance along with the songs and move around, copying the movements.


HOW IT WORKS

Once you've signed up and logged in, you will be asked to create a profile for your child. Then you will be directed to the lesson page where the child will learn daily exercises about weather, literacy, math, science, and art. It's like a virtual classroom.


Each day, new lessons are provided in video format and printables are also available to download with it. The lessons are simple and easy and fun for kids. Each day they also have new crafts for the kids. Little Brandon enjoys crafts as it is his favorite thing to do. And we love the animated storybooks.

The "Free Play" section provides a list of music videos that lets your child listen to educational songs, watch the movements, and have fun dancing to it. This helps develop your child's fine motor skills.


The "Parent Portal" section is created to provide you tips in helping your child learn, find solutions to everyday problems, get ideas as well as provide feedback about the program. I think the list is well put together and it is really useful, especially for busy parents. It helped remind me how I can educate my little one in day-to-day activities and also have fun at the same time.


Through preschool lesson plans, videos, games and fun activities, your preschool child will learn all the skills they need to be prepared for kindergarten.

• Days of the week

Even if your child already goes to preschool, this is a great resource for games and activities when they are at home. Chalk Preschool Online is an excellent booster to their learning. And it can give you some free time!
