I was recently introduced to Little Pim and my son, Brandon, and I was given the opportunity to review a DVD of the language of our choice. Little Pim is an excellent language tool for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. Since our background is Chinese, we chose the Mandarin Chinese set. I was given a code to download the digital version of the Little Pim videos. Although we only understand Cantonese (not Mandarin), I thought it would be nice to learn a new language. We actually speak English mainly.
Brandon finds Little Pim (the Panda) amusing and he enjoyed watching the videos. So far he has learned a few words. The videos also show the English subtitles which was really helpful. Chinese pinyin characters were shown as well, but I wish they had also shown the pinyin in English syllables. That would make pronouncing easier.
Here's what the the kids can learn in each video:
Episode 1: Eating and Drinking
See Little Pim and friends making and eating food while having a great time discovering new tastes. This episode introduces more than 60 Spanish words and phrases for meal times.
