Valentine's Day Celebration

Since Brandon had no class on Tuesday, February 14th (Valentine's Day), his preschool class celebrated and had a Valentine's party on Monday, February 13th. Lots of treats for the kids. This was Brandon's first Valentine's celebration at school. Here are just some of the Valentine Cards that Brandon got from his classmates and teachers.

Valentine's Day will be here in a couple of weeks. This year will be Brandon's first special Valentine's celebration at preschool. And it is also the best time to get creative and get crafty. I usually like to order prints and greeting cards online because I can choose the ones I like (and even personalize it).

Brandon and his Birthday Card for Daddy

It was Brandon's daddy's birthday the past weekend. We did our own family thing and went to the mall.

In the evening, we decided to make a surprise birthday card. It was Brandon's first birthday card he made for daddy.  I cut out a piece of card stock paper and took out some scrapbooking stuff. Brandon glued all the pieces together himself and I'd let him do whatever he likes. And we even put stickers on it. It was fun. Of course, I wrote in the words for him. He really like cutting shapes with the special scissors.

I received 24 personalized stickers, 16 cards with a Leather Card holder in lime green and a kiddo approved Sharpie (for backside note writing.) When I saw them, I thought they were the cutest stuff ever... and very colorful. I had to share this with my mommy friends.

These are great to use when I meet someone at the daycares, family drop-ins, or at the playground. I find them very useful and it gives a fun and creative impression. It gets people interested and it looks more professional than just writing down your name on a plain piece of paper. Oh, and it saves me time. A few times happened that I had to search my bag for pen and paper when I exchanged contacts with some new moms (and also had to take the time to write down the info).

Besides giving out these as business cards or contact exchange, I think it's also a great idea to use them as invitations for Brandon's birthday and/or play-date events. Sticking the labels on the card was easy. I love how it is flexible and I can re-apply without tearing it.
