Linacare for Baby's Dry Sensitive Skin & Eczema

Recently, my friend recommended me to Linacare skin care products. She mentioned that they have creams and lotions for baby's sensitive skin without the medication. I did some research and I've read a lot of reviews and heard many good things. I also found out that the company is based in Vancouver, my local area.

I used Glaxal Base, which was recommended by my doctor. It keeps the skin moisturized. I like it since it's non-greasy and non-scented, but it still didn't really help with the rashes and itchiness. I apply it several times a day to his arms and legs, and especially around his cheeks and chin area. My little guy, Brandon, still has eczema; and with the cold, dry weather, the dryness keeps coming back. So I am trying the LINACARE for sensitive skin. I would recommend this to moms out there with kids/babies who also suffer from eczema or dry skin. It keeps the skin feeling and looking smooth. As a mom and skeptic, I find that this cream really helps and shows some results after a few days.

Brandon's 8th tooth at 15-months

Brandon's 8th tooth (at the bottom) has come out a few weeks ago. He's 15-months now and is still teething. I still give him some teething toys to bite on. I remember he had his first tooth at 8-months. Some babies teeth early (around three months old), and some teeth later. Brandon seems to be on the later side.

Some of our friends' babies almost have a full set of teeth at the age of 1. Of course, every baby is different. Like many things about babies, you can't compare progress on someone else's chart.

You can download a free printable teething chart for you to keep track of your little one's teething progress.

LeapFrog Tag Reading System

When I'm bored, I spend. That's my bad habit. Anyways, I got some good deals on LeapFrog Tag books for Brandon. Also went to the local store and bought a LeapFrog Tag Junior book since it was on sale for $9.99 minus the $3 coupon I used. Tag Reader books are like regular pages for older kids, whereas Tag Junior books are board books for the toddlers. I've read somewhere that the Tag Junior books are compatible with the Tag reading system pen. Let's hope that it is true; otherwise, I can still return it.

LeapFrog Tag Reading System
Tag Reading System Appropriate for Ages 4 Years to 8 Years...Introducing Tag - the amazing touch reading system that brings to life reading like never before. Perfectly sized for little hands the Tag Reader is a touch-and-talk reading device that brings stories to life like never before and offers insights into what your child is learning. As children touch the Tag Reader to the pages of specially printed storybooks a small camera in the tip "reads" the pages enabling children to hear words and stories read aloud. Characters pictures and learning activities spring to life with every touch immersing children in the thrill of reading.

LeapFrog Tag Junior book pal
A love of books starts long before children can read - and its benefits can last a lifetime. The toddler-sized “book explorer” is powered by the same technology that drives the Tag reader: a small, sophisticated infrared camera that “reads” words and pictures printed on the special dot-patterned pages of the sturdy, child-friendly board books in the Tag Junior collection. The Tag Junior is also designed to encourage toddlers' natural desire to explore, while introducing preschool skills through playful book-based activities.

Brandon doesn't like to go to bed

Happy New Year's everyone! Nothing too exciting for us during New Year's Day.

Anyway, I want to talk about my little Brandon's sleep problem lately. He's been doing fine for a few days, but he's been whining and never really wants to go to sleep.

Brandon is just over a year old and he sleeps well during the night. He also takes a good 2hr nap in the afternoon. The only problem is that he doesn't like going to bed. It'll take him about 2hrs to finally fall asleep. We do regular bedtime routines (such as reading books) and he seems to enjoy them, but once I turn off the lights he'll start whining or if I leave the room he'll keep crying. I quietly tell him it's bedtime and I lie down with him and he'll whine again and stands up. He won't go to bed alone unless I'm beside him, so we have a bed beside his crib. He's been weaned from breastfeeding for about a month now. How do I get my toddler to go to bed by himself?

I'm trying different solutions and ways so that he'll go to bed peacefully on his own. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm really looking forward to hear them.
